Originally from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Sam is a true North Carolinian with deep roots in real estate development. Raised in a family immersed in property development across the Triangle and Bald Head Island, Sam’s path to real estate was a natural one—one shaped by both heritage and passion.
Sam holds undergraduate degrees from the College of Charleston and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and has built a successful professional career centered around sales, marketing, and exceptional customer service. With over 25 years of experience living and working in the Wrightsville Beach area, he offers unmatched local expertise and insight into the coastal market.
Sam brings a client-first philosophy, understanding that strong relationships and trust are the foundation of successful real estate. He is proud to say, “It’s easy to sell what you love,” and his love for Coastal North Carolina is evident in every transaction.
As a seasoned luxury real estate broker, Sam has played a key role in many of the region’s most notable sales. He first set the record for the highest sale in New Hanover County in 2018, and followed up with back-to-back record-breaking sales on Figure Eight Island in 2022, as well as Wrightsville Beach’s top sale in 2023. Additionally, he closed the top sale on Figure Eight Island in 2025 at $12,750,000.00 where he represented both the buyers and sellers at 260 Beach Road North and represented the sellers in another record on Bald Eagle Lane in Wilmington at $7,850,000.00.
A top producer with Landmark Sotheby’s International Realty, Sam has been named to the REAL Trends list for the past three years. In 2023, he closed over $34.7 million in sales, and in 2025 has already surpassed $41 million in closed transactions, with an additional $30 million in pending contracts and listings.
Sam’s primary focus is to be the leading expert in the waterfront luxury real estate market across Wrightsville Beach, Figure Eight Island, Landfall, and the surrounding Southeastern North Carolina communities. He is known for his integrity, local knowledge, and ability to match clients with the right property through attentive service and deep market insight.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending time with his wife Michelle, their three teenage sons—Parker, Merrick, and Michael—and their daughter Caroline. He is an active supporter and former board member of the Wrightsville Beach School Foundation, and proudly supports Good Shepherd Center and youth sports throughout the Wilmington area.
